You Thought Still Here!

This message is a powerful testimony and encouragement centered on resilience, faith, and God’s sustaining power. The preacher opens by declaring that despite past hardships, losses, and setbacks, God isn’t finished yet—“You thought I wouldn’t make it, but I’m still here.” The message emphasizes letting go of past history to embrace a greater future, reminding listeners that if God woke them up, they still have a fighting chance.

Drawing from Acts 14, the sermon highlights the story of Paul and Barnabas—how Paul was stoned, dragged out of town, and left for dead, yet got back up and continued preaching. This becomes a metaphor for believers who have been beaten down by life but refuse to quit. The preacher stresses humility when God elevates you, always giving God the glory for blessings, breakthroughs, and success.

The sermon also addresses betrayal, hardship, and spiritual endurance, explaining that suffering is part of the weight of walking in faith. Instead of responding with bitterness or revenge, believers are called to die to their flesh, forgive, love their enemies, and keep moving forward. The phrase “you thought” becomes a declaration of victory over the enemy—symbolizing survival, comeback, and divine restoration.

Ultimately, the message encourages believers to recognize they are walking testimonies. No matter how many times they’ve been knocked down, embarrassed, or counted out, God will send believers around them, lift them back up, and take them into the next chapter. The sermon closes with a call to keep the faith, trust God through the valley, and boldly declare: You thought I was done—but I’m still here.
