It all started in 2003, when the Lord woke Bishop Leon Mark and gave him the charge to go into ministry. After much prayer and supplication, Bishop Leon Mark accepted the call—faithfully supported by his lovely wife, First Lady Towanna Mark. On December 31, 2002, the very first service was held in their living room with 30 dedicated believers, many of whom still stand with us today.

Out of that divine calling, Mark Christian Ministries of Jesus Christ, Inc. was born—a non-denominational, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a deep passion for God’s people. Alongside a strong body of kingdom-minded disciples, the ministry also oversees a licensed Early Learning Center, which continues to serve and bless families throughout Lee County.

We thank God for this powerful branch of the vision—our Early Learning Center—established in April 2002. This ministry plants seeds of love, kindness, and godly character in the hearts of children, nurturing a brighter future guided by God’s Word.

But the vision doesn’t stop there. God has expanded our mission! We have decided not only to be a church, but a launching place for many ministries—ministries dedicated to helping those in need, empowering families, and transforming lives through the love of Christ. From community outreach and education to spiritual restoration and practical support, we are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community and beyond.

This is the vision that God has entrusted to Bishop Leon and First Lady Towanna Mark—servant leaders after God’s own heart. We are deeply grateful for everyone who has supported this ministry over the years, and we give God all the glory for what He has done and what He is yet to do. Truly, God is up to something great, and we are excited to see His plans unfold in the days ahead!
